Some paintings are more difficult to part with. I would have liked to have held this piece in my own collection for just a few weeks more, but it's destiny is elsewhere. It will be delivered to the Patricia Rovzar Gallery today, where someone will discover it and make it part of their permanent home.

I recently read that Jasper Johns owns most of his work. Of course he is in a different financial world than I am, and this was before the Crichton auction last night, but I know what you mean about wanting to keep pieces. I try and keep two out of every medium or series, not always easy.
It always seems unfair that other artists: writers, composers always have their work but visual artists much let them go.
